JUNIORS  (Years 9 -10) 2025

Junior Water Polo runs throughout terms 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Teams are trialled at North Harbour Water Polo in Term 1, by Rosmini College Coaches. Rosmini College has 3 teams in the Junior Competition:

Junior A (Competitive/Development)

Junior B (Development/Competitive)

Junior C (Development/Competitive)

Games are played after school on Fridays at the AUT Millennium, 17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay. 

2025 Training Days and Times TBC - 2024 trainings were Wednesday mornings 6.30am - 7.30am.

Water Polo Trials Term 1

North Harbour Water Polo - Mon 3rd March – Wed 9th April

Trials (First 4 weeks)

• Monday 3rd March 5.30 - 6.30pm
• Monday 10th March 5.30 - 6.30pm
• Monday 17th March 5.30 - 6.30pm
• Monday 24th March 5.30 - 6.30pm
• 1 x Weekly training (remainder of Term)
• 2 x One Day Tournament  (ODT) 8th March & 5th April)

Expected Fees - $250 - $350 depending on ODT costs

Water Polo Term 2 

North Harbour Water Polo - 28th April – 27th June

• 1 x Weekly Training Session (Morning)
• 1 x Weekly Game on Friday (Afternoon / Evening)

(No Games Week 1 Back due to Club Trials. May play grading games tbc)

Expected Fees - Depending on team placement - fees range from $200 - $400

Water Polo Term 3

 North Harbour Water Polo - 14th July – 19th September

• 1 x Weekly Training Session (Morning Trainings)
• 1 x Weekly Game on Friday Afternoon / Evening

Expected Fees - Depending on team placement - fees range from $200 - $400

Water Polo Term 4

North Harbour Water Polo - 6th October – 5th December

• 1 x Weekly Training Session (Morning or Evening session)
• Summer Series League (Weekly / Bi-Weekly games)
• Fun and Friendly Evening – 5th December
• Prizegiving – Wednesday 3rd Dec (TBC) 

 Auckland League Water Polo - (Dates TBC)

Junior A & Junior B teams are entered into the Auckland League in term 4.  Games are played across multiple Auckland school pools on Friday evenings and Sundays.

North Island Champs Tournament - 20th - 23rd November

This is a 3 day tournament. Junior A team will automatically be registered into the tournament.  If permitted Junior B and/or Junior C will also be entered.

Expected Fees - Depending on team placement and tournament attendance, Term 4 fees range $300 - $700.

INTERMEDIATE (Year 7 & 8)

Intermediate Water Polo runs throughout terms 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Trials

Teams are trialled by North Harbour Water Polo in Term 1. Following trials players are placed in one of the following two leagues:

1. North Harbour Water Polo (3 teams): Competitive & Development. Games are played after school on Fridays at the AUT Millennium 3.45pm - 8pm, 17 Antares Place,  Mairangi Bay - Plus one training per week.

1. Glenfield League (up to 2 teams): Learning and Development League - Glenfield Leisure Centre, 73-77 Bentley Avenue, Glenfield. Game are played on Tuesdays after school 4pm - 8pm - Plus one training session per week.

Terms

Trials being run by NHWPC Coaches (First 4-5 weeks – depending on school numbers)

• No sessions Friday 28th March due to NISS
• Training Sessions -  Friday 11th April

Expected Fees - fees range from $100 - $200

TERM 2

North Harbour Water Polo:  5th May – 27th June (first week back club trials)

• 1 x Weekly Training Session (run by NH Coaches)

• 1 x Weekly Game on Friday Afternoon / Evening (Grading Term)

• Winterfest Tournament 12th -15th June (generally one team registration per school)

Glenfield Water Polo - Term 2 (TBC)​​​​​​​

TERM 3

North Harbour Water Polo: 21st July – 19th September (first week back club trials)

• 1 x Weekly Training Session (run by NH Coaches)
  1 x Weekly Game on Friday Afternoon / Evening
• Tim Sonderer Tournament 24th - 27th July (generally one team registration per school)
• AIMS Games 30th August - 5th September (one selected team only)
• North Island Festival 20th - 23rd September) (generally one team registration per school)

Glenfield Water Polo - Term 3 (TBC)

TERM 4

North Harbour Water Polo:  6th October – 1st December

• 1 x Weekly Training Session (run by NH Coaches)

• Fun and Friendly Evening – 5th December
• Prizegiving – Wednesday 3rd December (TBC)
